25 hours later…

I can happily say that I made it to Chile after quite an adventure, as airports and travels usually are.

After somehow finding my way with broken Spanish I spent the afternoon with Reid and Meriden, as well as little Lucy, their 2 year old daughter who calls me Tia. We had lunch with the Let’s Start Talking group at Smart Food, just down the street from the new church location. The owner, Andres, talked with us for some time about how everything in his business is sustainable, fresh, and even has an opportunity for you to buy a coffee for the next homeless person that comes in to pick one up. He seemed interested in improving his English with us, and offered to hang a flyer in his small shop.

I have a feeling this is going to be a fantastic experience as I navigate this new world and find how I fit in with God’s work in the city. I have much to learn, and it has already started today! Until next time.

Ready to Go

The word fundraising has never had a great connotation in my mind. Gathering money is no easy task and it can feel uncomfortable at times, but through fundraising I have already been blessed. Every dollar received revealed to me that people trust me, and more importantly, they believe in what God is doing in Chile!

More good news: All of the funds needed for this trip have been raised! In less than four weeks I will be flying to ConcepciĆ³n and I couldn’t be more excited. Thank you for participating in this work with me, and I would love for you to continue to join me through prayer and keeping up with this blog.
